Our Kids

Our Kids

The Cannon Family

I wish I could say the kids are always this loving to eachother, but that would be stretching the truth.. Haleigh is twelve and in seventh grade, Hannah is ten and in fourth grade, Hunter is five and in kindergarten, and Mallorie is now one and in the toddler class.. I will have to say they all love Mallorie a lot and they are always kissing and hugging on her, I know that will someday change but right now it is just so sweet. Haleigh and Hannah fight the most, but would they be sisters without all the drama? We just know we are very blessed to have beautiful and healthy kids.
I hear so many people these days talking about finances and worried about the future.. I would be lying if I said I don't worry about our finances.. I am trying to keep us on a budget and trying to get dept paid off, but when you have kids that is really hard to do.. How do you tell precious babies like these no? I know people tell me, well you decided to have them.. Yea I did, but God had some planning in that, and when I think about this I get a little upset and think should we have not had four kids? I am sorry but there is not any amount of money worth me not having all four of my kids, and God chose us to be their parents..WE ARE BLESSED!!!

Mallorie

Mallorie is such a doll and just goes with the flow of this family, which is a blessing because we are always on the go... She started last week letting us know when she is eating if she wants more or down.. She knows the sign language for more and the kids just love making her do this.. I do have to admit it is really cute..She is just such a ball of fire and she doesn't take anything off of anyone.. She definitely holds her own..

Hunter

Well, dad just thought Hunter has to play flag football, so now we have two games to sit through every Saturday.. Hunter will have his first game this coming Saturday, he has practices on Monday and at least two more times during the week... How are we going to fit all this in??? Not sure yet I am just taking it day by day...

Hannah

We signed Hannah up for the tackle football cheerleader, which will start this coming Saturday..She is so excited I can't wait to see her in action. Because of this we have cheer practice every Monday after school and Saturday until the season starts. By the end of the week I am completely worn out..

Haleigh

Haleigh keeps us busy with volleyball, tumbling, and cheer. Every Monday night Haleigh has a volleyball game, which she has done really well with. She was so disappointed with volleyball in the beginning because she made the B team, I told her that was great considering I never made the volleyball team.. (that didn't help any because I am her mom). Haleigh has since made the A team which she is very happy about..this just makes us have more games and tournaments.. Haleigh is also on a competitive cheer team in Longview - ETAS and we are about to start competitions which means we will now be on the road at least one weekend a month. She is such an outgoing girl with lots of goals and accomplishments. We are very happy for her, if now we can just work on the attitude.. Others tell me I have a long road for this one...

Haleigh

Haleigh is in the seventh grade and defintely has middle school attitude.. We all try everyday to get along with her but looking back on middle school days nothing goes the way we want it to during this time.. A lot of Haleigh's resentment is she tried out for middle school cheerleader last February and didn't make it. The competition was really close and they only took ten girls. We had a long talk about what we should do after she cried for weeks about this. We let her try out for a competitive squad and she made it.. It's just really expensive and a lot of time for practice and competitions. We start competitions in October. I can't wait to see her in action, because yes she is my child and mothers are a little bias but she is really good at it. I just look at her and can't believe how old she is getting and how fast it is going by. We are very blessed to have such an active and beautiful girl.

Hannah

Hannah is in the fourth grade, and this year she gets to have her mother, and her Aunt Jaime as her teachers.. She is full of personality and full of life. She cares so much about others and their feelings. She worries about everything and everyone. We are so blessed to have her as a daughter. She loves being involved in Kids for Christ at church, cheerleading for tackle football, being with her friends, and if you couldn't tell she loves the water.

Hunter Kindergarten

Hunter has had a great first two weeks of school.. He loves being on the same campus as his mother, but he told me when he sees me he wants to cry..(Aw, he still is my baby) He has gotten smiley faces everyday, except on last Friday. He got in trouble for daring another boy to splash this girl in his class with water. Oh my goodness, I was so embarrassed.. I thought he might make it a month before he got in trouble. I guess he is like his daddy.. He loves his teacher, Mrs. Potter. We are blessed to have a boy that's 100% boy all the time.
